GTA 6 Launches November 19 Without a PC Version: What PC Players Should Know
Grand Theft Auto VI arrives on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19 for $79.99. Rockstar hasn't announced a PC version, but the series' history offers some clues about what to expect.

The biggest game launch of the year is less than two weeks away, and PC players are watching from the sidelines. Grand Theft Auto VI launches on November 19, 2026, but only on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar Games has not announced a PC version.
The official launch details
Rockstar and parent company Take-Two confirmed the platforms and pricing in a press release on June 24, when pre-orders opened:
- Release date: November 19, 2026
- Platforms: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S
- Standard Edition: $79.99
- Ultimate Edition: $99.99, with extra vehicles, weapons, apparel and in-story bonuses
According to the press release, all pre-orders and purchases made before November 20 include the Vintage Vice City Pack, and digital pre-orders also get a free month of GTA+.
Is GTA 6 coming to PC?
Rockstar hasn't said. The game's official announcements so far have named only the two consoles, and no PC release window has been given.
The series' history suggests a PC version is likely eventually, but it has always come later:
- Grand Theft Auto IV launched on consoles in April 2008 and reached PC in December 2008.
- Grand Theft Auto V launched on consoles in September 2013 and reached PC in April 2015, roughly 19 months later.
Those patterns are not a promise. Until Rockstar announces a PC version, any date is speculation.
What PC players can do now
If you're waiting for the PC version, a few practical tips:
- Be careful with "PC download" offers. There is no official PC version of GTA 6, so any site claiming to sell or offer one is not legitimate.
- Expect spoilers. With a massive console launch, story details will spread quickly online.
- Consider whether you'll double-dip. Some PC players will buy the console version now and the PC version later, especially for mods and higher frame rates.
A quiet November for PC releases
November is relatively light on major PC launches. Still, there's plenty to play: World of Warcraft: Forever just launched, Thief: The Dark Project Remastered is coming on December 3, and our PC deals page tracks current discounts – including Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – The Definitive Edition, which was 67% off on Steam when we last checked.
Why it matters
GTA V remains one of the best-selling and most-played PC games ever, largely thanks to its modding and roleplay communities. Whenever GTA 6 does arrive on PC, it's likely to be one of the biggest PC launches in years. For now, PC players will have to wait for Rockstar's next announcement.
