Grinding Gear Games is holding its biggest event of the year. ExileCon 2026 includes a keynote on November 6, where the New Zealand studio will reveal what's next for both Path of Exile games.

Path of Exile 2: the road to 1.0

In a Steam announcement titled "Path of Exile 2 1.0 Full Reveal," GGG said it will announce "our newest content for Path of Exile 2 as we continue the road to Full Release" live at ExileCon.

Path of Exile 2 has been in Early Access, and the studio has been preparing players for the transition. Recent Steam posts invited players to register for the full release to unlock exclusive rewards and warned that Early Access Supporter Packs are leaving soon. GGG hasn't announced a full release date ahead of the show, so the keynote is where to watch for one.

Path of Exile 1: Covens of Umbra

The original game isn't being left behind. On November 1, GGG announced that the next expansion for Path of Exile, version 3.30, is called Covens of Umbra. Its teaser simply reads, "She comes for your realm."

Key dates:

  • Covens of Umbra launches November 13 (PST), free on PC and consoles.
  • The current Curse of the Allflame challenge league ends at 1:00 PM PST on November 9, according to GGG's expansion timeline.

Full details of the expansion will be revealed during the same ExileCon keynote.

How to watch

GGG says the broadcast starts at 12:30 PM PT on November 6 with a pre-show discussion, followed by the keynote at 1:00 PM PT. You can watch on twitch.tv/pathofexile or the studio's YouTube channel. GGG also says it treats ExileCon like its regular reveal livestreams, so trailers and announcement pages go live as soon as the content is announced.

Viewers can also earn Twitch Drops during the event, according to a Path of Exile 2 Steam post.

Why it matters

Path of Exile 2's full release is one of the most anticipated milestones in PC action RPGs, and ExileCon is where GGG traditionally makes its biggest announcements. For players of the original game, a new expansion one week after the show means there's something to play immediately, regardless of PoE 2's timeline.

This article was published before the keynote. We'll cover the announcements once they're official.
