Flotsam Is Free on the Epic Games Store Until November 12, With Knightica Up Next
Epic is giving away Flotsam, a floating-town survival builder normally priced at $24.99, until November 12. Knightica follows from November 12 to 19, and several smaller Epic promotions end this weekend.
This week's free game on the Epic Games Store is Flotsam, a survival city builder normally priced at $24.99 in the US. The promotion started on November 5 and runs until November 12 at 11 AM ET (16:00 UTC), according to the Epic Games Store. Once you claim it, it stays in your library.
What is Flotsam?
Epic's store page describes Flotsam as "the floating garbage town survival game." You scavenge useful garbage from the ocean's surface and grow a drifting city while trying to survive in a colorful post-apocalyptic world. The store lists Pajama Llama Games as the developer and Stray Fawn Publishing as the publisher, with tags including Survival, City Builder and Exploration.
It's a good fit if you like relaxed colony builders with a survival layer, and at $0 it's an easy add to your library even if you don't plan to play it right away.
Next week: Knightica
Epic's free games page already lists the next giveaway. Knightica will be free from November 12 at 11 AM ET until November 19 at 11 AM ET. It normally sells for $14.99 in the US.
Epic's description calls it a roguelike auto-battler in which you recruit units, place them strategically and look for synergies while guiding a warband through challenges to free the Kingdoms. Players can combine units, add enchantments and take on dangerous monsters along the way.
Smaller freebies ending this weekend
Beyond the weekly pick, several smaller games are currently 100% off on the Epic Games Store in the US. We checked each store page on November 6:
| Game | Regular price | Free until (ET) |
|---|---|---|
| GMH - Good Morning Human | $10.99 | Nov 8, 6:00 PM |
| Highway Driving | $9.99 | Nov 8, 1:30 PM |
| Horse Racing | $9.99 | Nov 8, 1:30 PM |
| Gladiator: Blades of Fury | $9.99 | Nov 8, 1:30 PM |
| Quiztopia: The Ultimate Trivia | $7.99 | Nov 8, 1:30 PM |
| Dark Mystery | $6.99 | Nov 8, 1:30 PM |
| Epic World - Hunt For Quest | $6.99 | Nov 8, 1:30 PM |
These are publisher promotions rather than Epic's headline weekly giveaway, and six of the seven come from the same developer, Yash Future Tech Solutions, so set your expectations accordingly. Still, they are full games that you keep after claiming.
How to claim
Sign in to your Epic Games account, open the game's store page and click Get, then confirm the $0 order. You don't need to install the game during the promotion – it stays in your library permanently once claimed.
